WHO IS ZIPPY
Hello and Welcome – My name is Jerry “Zippy” Gibbens and I’m a Professional Balloon Artist, Balloon Decorator and Entertainer residing in Gilbert, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona. I currently own and operate Zippy Entertainment.
I bet you are asking; how did you get the name of Zippy? Well, one day working on a Christmas float with the local clown troupe located in Phoenix, Arizona, I was in charge of handing out zip ties to people attaching things to the floats. I was Zipping here and Zipping there helping everyone. They all started calling me Zippy. Everyone stopped and said “That’s it! That is your balloon entertainer name, Zippy”. Now, you know how Zippy’s name was created in order to bring ton of smiles to all and create memories to last a life time with his balloon creations.
Being a Balloons Artist and balloon Decorator has been a dream of mine since I was a child and my parents took me to our state fair in my hometown of Albuquerque, NM. After listening to the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s ‘I Have a Dream’ speech, I have been following my heart and passion to make my dreams come true, to put smiles on people’s faces with balloon creations.
There are a lot of great balloon artists and balloon decorators out there and we all learn and help each other. I have IVP FBI fingerprint clearance card and I strive to set a higher standard of professionalism in the balloon industry. I also have a bachelor's degree in business management and currently enrolled in Balloon College. (Yes, there is such a thing)
I also enjoy parachuting, scuba diving, riding horses, watching live entertainers, achieving goals and traveling the world. I support the Armed Services Veterans to include being a volunteer Veteran Liaison at a Local News Channel in Phoenix, Arizona since I am also a veteran; please thank them for their service the next time you see them.
